JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – A Craighead County man faces an arson cost after Jonesboro police say he torched the underside of a mattress with a lighter whereas a lady was within the bed room.
Joseph Luis Cruz, 35, of Jonesboro, was arrested July 8 after an investigation by Jonesboro police and the Jonesboro Fireplace Division.
Police stated in a possible trigger affidavit that the Jonesboro Fireplace Division went to an condo fireplace July 1 within the 500 block of West Huntington.
Authorities did an investigation and spoke with the lady on the home.
The girl informed police she noticed Cruz gentle the underside foot finish of the mattress with a lighter.
